If you would like to purchase name tags for the new term, either for children starting school or child that will still be attending Busy Bees next year, we can recommend a local company called Easy 2 Name. When the checkout is reached there is an area for the group name to be added. This will be recorded and will generate 20% of the sale being credited to Busy Bees towards out fund raising
Room Structure
The Caterpillars and Butterflies are divided throughtout the morning session but come together for singing, story, snack and outside play so there are ample opportunities for them all to see their friends. The Butterflies session is slightly more structured in preparation for the transition to primary school in September. The emphasis is still very much on learning through play for the Caterpillars. If you require further information please feel free to speak to a member of staff.
Collection of Children
If you are unable to collect your child and are sending a relative or friend, please let the staff know in writing with a brief description so that we are all aware of who to look out for and who to expect. In line with government regulations no child will be released to a person under 16 years of age.
Appropriate Clothing
Please can parents ensure that children are dressed appropriately for both indoor and outside play. Sun hats or Caps are a must. We are not able to apply suncream, so would suggest this is applied before they attend a session.
Illness
Busy Bees adopted a new policy last year regarding illness. Children that have suffered from sickness and diarrhoea must remain at home for 72 hrs after their last bout of upset.
Jewellery
Please could you make sure that children do not wear play necklaces & jewellery to Pre - School. We are also having a problem with Lip Gloss and would ask you not to allow your child to bring it to the Pre - School as other child are allergic to it.
Fruit & Vegetables
We love to have donations of fruit and vegetables from you for snack time, it is greatly appreciated.
Indoor Shoes
All children are allocated their own drawer in which they keep a pair of indoor shoes - please supply a named pair of plimsolls or similar that can be left at Busy Bees.
Packed Lunches
Please could all parents supply lunch boxes that have the food inserted into a plastic bag with your childs name written on the front. Please can you add a named frozen ice pack to enable the food to keep cool and fresh. Please can we ask you to refrain from putting any nuts in your childrens lunch boxes due to other children at the pre school who have nut allergies. We also ask that you helps us promote healthy eating.
Pre-School Washing
We have pre-school tea towels, aprons and towels that needs to be washed, we will put a bag out side the main door every week or so and would be grateful if parents could take turns to take it home and wash for the pre-school. We have no laundry on site and reply heavily on parent support.
Parents Rota
Busy Bees has a dated rota which parents can sign if they would like to help at a particular session, this is located on top of the children’s drawers on a clip board. Helping at the session enables parents to see what the day-to-day life of the setting is like and to join in helping the children to get the best out of their activities.
